Obviously, it is really important for children to keep developing as readers during these

difficult times, so we wanted to offer our support for you to ensure this continues to

happen throughout this period of home learning.

Ebooks are brilliant and mean that you have a whole range of books at the click of a button,

In a discussion text it is really important to think about both sides of an argument. 

Can you think of ideas why animals should be kept in captivity and why they shouldn't? 
I'm looking forward to seeing what ideas you come up with.

Today I would like you to write a prediction based on the front cover. 

Remember a prediction is what you think the book will be about. 

Think about who the characters might be, where it may be set and what might happen in the story. Use the picture on the front cover and the title to help you with your ideas.
