Spellings
Adding the suffix -ly

  • Words ending in consonant + ‘y’: change ‘y’ to ‘i’ if the word is more than one syllable
 • Words ending in ‘le’: take off ‘e’ and add ‘y’

 • Words ending in ‘ic’: add ‘ally’

Can you add the suffix -ly to these words using the rules above?
Use one of the strategies to practise these spellings:

This week I would like you to have a think about how you will make your boat. Think about what you will need to use and what you will do first.
I would like you to draw this out as a plan on a storyboard style sheet.

Humber Class, for French, please have a look and research French food.

Then using your skills produce a PowerPoint, leaflet or poster to entice others to learn about it and even try making it.

You may also want to make your own crepes, I have attached a link above with the recipe and instructions. It would be lovely to see them on Humber blog - Have fun creating and cooking!

I have attached a quiz worksheet for you to have a go!

Miss you all!

R.E ongoing project

We would like you to learn more about the Churches in your local area.
What are they called? How are they the same and how are they different?
Think about why they are special to some people. Talk to people who have been inside to find out more about what is the same and different inside and why that might be.
Can you work out what all or most Churches seem to have?
You could also research 1 or more of the Churches and find about their history
or even do some Art or DT work inspired by them.
