Have a look at our new writing booklet to be completed over the next couple of weeks.

Spellings
Choose 10 of your own spelling words from the link above.
Can you create a short silly story using the 10 words that you have chosen?

DT
Look at your plan that you created last week. Read your plan aloud to a grown up and talk about what you will do at each step to make sure that you haven't missed anything out. Edit your plan if necessary.
Gather your materials ready to make your boat.

Science
Recap how to draw a circuit.

Using these components can you draw 3 different circuits?

Geography
Watch the clip above about the 10 largest rivers.
Over the next couple of weeks I would like you to choose one of the rivers to research.
Make sure that you find out where it begins and ends. It's up to you how you present it, I would suggest a PowerPoint or an information leaflet.
Some of your project work so far has been amazing, continue to be creative with this task.
I can't wait to see them!

Art

Have a look at the National Gallery. Can you find Monet's Water-lily pond?
What do you thin to this painting?
Can you create your own version of the Water-lily pond?
Think about the techniques that you might use.
You could choose to re-create your chosen river in the style of Monet.
Get creative and have fun!

Computing
What makes a good computer game?
I would like you to have a go at designing your own computer game.
Think about:
  • The objective
  • The rules
  • Who the game is for
  •  What characters/sprites you will use
Challenge
When you have thought about your design, have a go at creating your game.
