Good morning Himalayas,

If you are isolating and well enough here is today's home learning.

English: 

  1. Poetry read the poem Noises in the Night – think about how it makes you feel. Where do you imagine yourself when reading it? 
  2. It is a rhyming poem and each end word rhymes - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z3jt7yc 
  3. Can you underline all the words that rhyme? 
  4. Then write down as many other words that you can think of which rhyme with bed, air, shake and deep.

Science: 

  1. What is a light source? - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zbssgk7/articles/z2s4xfr  
  2. Organise these different light sources into artificial light (light produced by electrical means/does not emit light naturally) and natural light (light generated naturally) into two columns. Sun, stars, lamp, torch, car headlights, lighter, galaxies, firefly, television. 
  3. Can you think of your own to add to the column?

Spelling rule - suffixes of ‘ness’ and ‘ful

Reading: Spend 10-15 minutes reading your favourite book. Get comfy, grab a blanket or your favourite teddy and enjoy!
