11.1.22

 Good morning Himalayas,

If you are well enough, here is some work to complete today.

 Maths:

 English:

  • We are looking at fronted adverbials - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zwwp8mn/articles/zp937p3
  • They are words or phrases placed at the beginning of a sentence which give more information to that sentence e.g. Earlier today, I discovered fronted adverbials.
  • Miss Edenbrow’s sentences are missing fronted adverbials. Your task is to write your own fronted adverbials in these sentences.

Spellings:

  • Keep practising your spellings. Can you think of any pictures to draw which will help you remember your spellings?

 French:

  • Listen to the video “L’araignée Gypsie.” Do you recognise which nursery rhyme it is?
  •  It’s Incy Wincy Spider! In French, the song is about a spider called Gypsie.
  • l’araignée = spider (say la-ran-yai)
  • le soleil = sun (say le-sol-ai)
  • la pluie = rain (say la-ploo-ee)
  •  Here are the words to the song:

Have a go at singing along in French. Can you do the actions too?
