Lesson 5- Challenge:

Look around your home and find some data that can be shown using a bar chat, pictogram or table. Which would be the best way to show your data?

For example, can you show the amount of knives, forks and spoons in the drawer? What would be the best way to show the colours of your pens and pencils?

What are the pros and cons of using the different ways to visualise the data?

English

  • Complete your All About Me writing and send it to your new teacher

  • Talk to someone at home about all the questions you have about when you return to school next year. Now see if anyone at home can answer any of them. Next write up the questions (using a ? at the end) and you can either email them or bring them to school in September so your teacher can try to answer them in your first week back.

  • Can you make up a story and use either your new teacher or your school friends as the main characters? First plan out what will happen at the beginning, middle and end (Story Mountain), then explain this to someone at home, finally write the story up.

Spellings

Well done for all of your hard work with your spellings this year. Have a look on the spelling list and choose any words that you still find tricky to practise this week. Get creative with your practising and have a go at writing them in different colours and drawing around the word to help you.

Wider curriculum

Learn all about your new class bird 'the peregrine' RSPB (A-Z) and show what you have learned in a poster.

PSHCE
Mrs Whisker has shared some lovely Archie resources looking at different values. There are some important discussions and activities to have with the children at the moment.

Science

You have worked hard this year using Science and thinking scientifically. This week it's time to have some science fun. Choose from the experiments below 😊

Design & Technology

After designing and making something it's very important that we evaluate it. To evaluate it we must think about what went well and what we could improve on next time. You can use the sheet below to help you.
